VOICES WORKSHOP ON August 28
Join The Austin Séance on Thursday, August 28 for an evening of experimental spirit communication at the First Spiritualist Church of Austin, located at 4200 Avenue D, in the Hyde Park neighborhood. The second of our contemplated three-part “Voices Series,” this 90-minute session will provide attendees an opportunity to learn about electronic voice phenomena through hands-on experimentation. Participants need not have attended the first session to enjoy this one. Voices sessions are FREE for Patreons of The Austin Séance and $12 for everyone else. But space is very limited. SECOND ANNUAL TEXAS SPIRIT GATHERING
The Austin Séance hosts its second annual Texas Spirit Gathering on Saturday, Oct. 18, at San Antonio’s beautiful Villa Finale mansion. This year’s seminar will include lectures from leading academics and experts on Marian Apparitions, vampire history and spirit photography. Other planned activities include a magic lantern presentation, a vendors market, children’s crafts, ghost hunts, and EVP sessions. The new summer edition of The Austin Séance Quarterly Journal is OUT NOW. As always, our newest edition includes contributions from expert commentators and paid professionals. There are two ways to subscribe: through a regular annual subscription that still costs just $25 per year, or through $5-per-month Patreon membership. The Austin Séance is a creative and experimental collaboration devoted to the history and practice of American séances and Spiritualism. Led by Artistic Director Albert Lucio and Editorial Director Jake Cordero, The Austin Séance has operated from its home base in Central Texas since 2016.
