New Summer Edition of Quarterly Journal Out Now, Plus Workshops!

By subscribing to the Quarterly Journal, you’re supporting writers, artists and other creatives.

The new issue of the The Austin Séance Quarterly Journal will be hitting mailboxes soon. Expect great stories about haunted paintings, a Harlem hoodoo man, party-like “cross-correspondence” séances and more. Now, if you haven’t subscribed yet or your subscription has expired, no worries — there’s still time to sign up. We also offer Patreon subscriptions that include additional benefits, such as workshop and séance discounts. For instance, this month our Patreon supporters will be receiving discount cards from two of our advertisers, Curia Arcanum and Haunt Happy Books, plus another small gift — and all included with their regular home-delivered summer edition.

Also keep in mind that by subscribing to the Quarterly Journal, you’re supporting writers, artists and other creatives who we pay to create the magazine. We also use proceeds from subscriptions and advertising to defray our substantial production costs.  Neither Albert Lucio nor I keep a dime for working on what has truly become a labor of love.

You can find a link to subscribe here. A link to join our Patreon can be found here.

Upcoming Workshops

More news? We’re expecting to conduct various occult workshops in the coming weeks and months, including a psychometry workshop scheduled for July 21 at the new South location of Austin’s Yarrow and Sage metaphysical shop, 1201 W Slaughter Lane.  Also expect additional workshops in Austin, Lockhart and Taylor. Keep an eye on our website for details.

Trumpet Raffle

On Thursday, May 30, we raffled off a bona fide SPIRIT TRUMPET from Austin’s City Alchemist witch shop. The winner was Victor Jimenez from Santa Anna, California. And what exactly is a Spirit Trumpet? You can find out more about these fascinating Victorian séance devices at The Austin Séance website. Find the link here.
