"Oct. 24-26 at Museum of Human Achievement: KOOP Séance & More" table of contents
Do you love community radio as much as we do? What about independent art venues? Then be sure to join us Thursday, Oct. 28, for an evening benefit on behalf of KOOP radio and the Museum of Human Achievement, in East Austin.
The session begins at 7 p.m. at the Museum of Human Achievement. It will include a short exploration of American spiritualist history and its tools, and culminate in a séance. All ticket proceeds benefit KOOP radio and the Museum of Human Achievement.
KOOP Community Radio is where you’ll find our favorite weekly radio shows, including Graveside Service with DJ Harris (every Saturday at 9 a.m.) followed by The Lounge Show with Jay Robillard (at 10 a.m. each Saturday). The station, 91.7 on your FM dial, is supported entirely through donations.
The Museum of Human Achievement is a non-profit multi-disciplinary arts space that hosts regular live performances and art exhibits. But to find this secret space, you need directions. And to get directions, you need to become a member or buy a benefit ticket from The Austin Séance. Think less nightclub, more cult.
If you want to purchase tickets for the KOOP/MOHA benefit, go here. And unless you prefer to attend another séance session that weekend, be sure to select tickets for the KOOP/MOHA benefit on THURSDAY, Oct. 24. All ticket proceeds for that night’s session will be donated to KOOP Community Radio and the Museum of Human Achievement.
